This 14 inch edge cleaner brush rotor (Rotor "A", pulley end, part #A001VBE0) is a replacement agitator for Sharp cleaning heads. It rides in the nozzle and drives the bristles that sweep debris from carpet and along edges.

A brush rotor that is worn, warped, or has flattened bristles loses its grip on carpet, cleans unevenly, and can rattle or whine as it spins. A fresh rotor restores proper agitation so the nozzle picks up along edges and across the pile.
