Hide A Hose 90 Degree Long ...

Product details
A retractable Hide-A-Hose system draws the whole hose back through its pipe run every time it retracts, so every fitting along that path has to let a hose travel through it, not merely let air pass. This long-sweep 90 degree elbow, part HS202140, is built to that standard and is sized to 2 inch central vacuum pipe.
The long sweep is the whole design idea. A short, abrupt 90 degree fitting snags a hose on the way back in and restricts airflow at the same time, whereas a gradual curve of this pattern lets both hose and air pass through the turn with far less argument. The same advantage carries over to a standard central vacuum system with no retractable hose, where a sharp elbow would otherwise sit in the line as a permanent airflow penalty.
When cementing it in place, apply adhesive to the pipe exterior rather than inside the fitting socket. Excess cement forced into that joint leaves a raised ridge on the interior, and that ridge becomes the exact spot where a hose catches or a clog starts to form. Support both sides of the joint while the cement sets rather than letting the fitting hang under its own weight, since a sweep this shape can droop out of true before the bond fully cures. Allow for its footprint when laying out the run as well, because a long sweep needs considerably more room than a standard elbow.
