Product details

Part 103434 is a three-wire electric hose assembly ProTeam builds for the Sierra backpack vacuum, shared with the Lil' Hummer II and the ProTeam 1118. Its added conductors deliver power along the length of the hose to a motorized attachment at the far end, setting it apart from a plain suction hose that carries no wiring and cannot substitute for it.

An electric hose on a backpack machine can fail two separate ways, and telling them apart before ordering saves buying the wrong part. The hose material itself can wear thin or split, producing the familiar loss of suction right at the tool. Separately, one internal conductor can break with no outward sign at all, and that shows up as a powered attachment refusing to start, or one that cuts in and out as the hose bends, even while suction through it stays entirely unaffected.

Flexing the hose section by section with the tool switched on, watching for the exact point it cuts out, is the fastest way to tell which of the two problems is actually present before spending money on the wrong fix. A fault appearing only when one particular spot bends usually means a broken strand right there rather than damage spread across the whole run.

  • Part: 103434
  • Fits: ProTeam Sierra, Lil' Hummer II, ProTeam 1118
  • Wiring: 3-wire, both ends
  • Symptom: powered tool cuts out or will not start while suction remains normal
