This OEM switch pedal spring serves Electrolux-Eureka uprights including the EL4200A, EL6988A, EL6988BZ, EL6988D, EL6988E, EL6988EZ, EL6989A, and EL6989AZ. The spring returns the power pedal to position after each press, keeping the on/off control snappy.
A stretched, weak, or broken pedal spring leaves the switch mushy, slow to release, or stuck, making the vacuum awkward to turn on and off. Fitting the correct spring restores firm tension so the pedal snaps back cleanly and the power control feels right underfoot.
