The headlight lights the floor ahead of the power head so dirt, edges, and obstacles are easier to see while vacuuming. The assembly combines the lamp and its PCB driver, so it is the right part when the QuietClean power head has gone dark.

A failed headlight is usually traced to the lamp or its circuit board rather than the wiring. Installing this PCB lamp / headlight assembly restores forward illumination without replacing the entire nozzle.
