This is the genuine Eureka bagless upright brush roll (also called an agitator or beater bar) built for the Eureka 4716, 4717, and 4718 bagless upright vacuum cleaners. The brush roll spins inside the cleaning nozzle to loosen and lift embedded dirt, pet hair, and debris from carpet fibers, sweeping it toward the suction airflow.
The stiff bristle rows and end-cap bearings wear down with regular use, leaving you with reduced pickup and flattened bristles. Installing this fresh OEM agitator (Part #62228-5) restores aggressive carpet agitation and proper belt seating.
