Part 5237018 is a gray, fifty-foot replacement cord built with an 18-gauge, three-conductor jacket, made to fit a group of Eureka and Sanitaire commercial uprights that share this same cord assembly.
Fifty feet gives a commercial upright the reach to clear a hallway or a large room without chasing an outlet, but that same length means more of the cord takes a beating over its life: crossed by furniture casters, pinched flat in doorways, and looped back onto the storage hooks at the end of every shift. Two signs point to a cord that has had enough: a section of jacket gone stiff and flattened where it keeps getting pinched, or the machine surging and cutting out the moment someone bumps the cord near the plug end.
Exposed copper anywhere along that fifty feet turns a maintenance item into a safety one.
