Product details

Part 782616 is the rear housing for the Sanitaire SC9180 Duralux commercial upright, the shell that closes the back of the machine around the motor and airflow path. It fits the Eureka and Sanitaire SC9180B and SC9180D, along with the Electrolux-Eureka EP9110A.

Machines in this Duralux family see years of daily handling before the housing finally gives out, usually as a crack along a stress point or a corner snapping off after being dropped or caught on a door frame. Once that happens, dust and debris reach the motor and wiring underneath, which is exactly what the housing was there to keep out in the first place.

  • Part: 782616 rear housing
  • Fits: Eureka SC9180B, SC9180D; Sanitaire SC9180B, SC9180D; Electrolux-Eureka EP9110A
  • Function: Encloses and protects the motor and rear airflow path
  • Construction: Built to the original housing dimensions for a no-modification fit

A machine designed for daily commercial duty is worth repairing properly rather than replacing it outright, and this housing bolts onto the existing mounting points. Check the model tag on the machine itself before ordering, since the SC9180 line has more than one build variant.

Replacement housings like this one are what keep otherwise sound Duralux machines on the road well past the point where a lesser-built upright would already have been scrapped. A cracked housing is a cosmetic and structural issue, not a sign the machine itself is failing, and it is one of the cheaper repairs available on a Duralux compared to the cost of retiring the unit outright.
