This 12-inch wooden brush roll is the agitator for several Eureka and Sanitaire commercial uprights, including the S635, SL635, SC679 and SC9050. The solid wood core resists warping under daily commercial use, while replaceable bristle strips sweep carpet pile and channel debris into the airflow. Part #54104-1 uses hex-shaped end caps that lock the roll squarely in the brush housing.

If you prefer a metal-core agitator for these same machines, the equivalent part is 53270. Replacing brush roll 54104-1 is the fastest way to revive flat-looking carpet on a worn Sanitaire, since tired bristles stop lifting dirt long before suction fails. Inspect the belt during installation to keep the new roll spinning true.
