Eureka Front Axle Spring - ...

Product details
Part 530762 is the front axle spring for Eureka and Sanitaire uprights in the 2000 line, sold as a set of six. Each one keeps steady pressure on the front axle, and that pressure is what stops the wheel assembly from shifting inside its mount while the vacuum gets pushed across a floor and pulled back again.
Once a spring stretches out or breaks, the axle has room to move inside its seat, and the first thing you usually notice is a rattle near the front on hard flooring. From there the wheels start riding unevenly, and the nozzle no longer sits flat against the carpet the way it should. These springs cost little and the front end is awkward to open up more than once, so most technicians replace all six together rather than one at a time, which is why the pack is sized that way.
- Part: 530762 front axle spring, 6 per pack
- Fits: Eureka and Sanitaire 1934A, 1950A, 2118B, 2124A, 2134A, C2094B, S635A, S645A, SC679J, SC684F, SC688, SC689A
- Function: Keeps the front axle under tension so the wheel assembly stays put
- Tell: Clatter near the front end on hard floors, or a nozzle sitting crooked against the carpet
Each spring hooks onto the axle by hand, and swapping the full set takes only a few minutes once the front wheels are off the machine. While it is apart, check the axle itself to confirm it is still straight.
If just one spring in a set looks stretched, replacing all six at the same time is usually the smarter move, since the rest have logged the same mileage and tend to fail one after another over the months that follow.
