Bag strap spring for the Eureka Ultra, part 53086. It is the small tension spring that keeps the bag strap pulled taut, so the filter bag is held up against its seat inside the outer bag.
When the spring loses tension or unhooks, the strap goes slack and the bag sags away from the neck. Dust then finds its way past the seal instead of into the bag, and you start seeing a fine film settling on furniture after vacuuming — or the bag folds over on itself and chokes the airflow.
It fits the Eureka 37323 Ultra. Note which way the spring hooks on before removing the old one, since it has to seat the same way to pull in the right direction.
