Long beater bar support for the Eureka VGI 12-inch brush roll, part 530741. It is the internal piece that locates the beater bar inside the roller so the bar presses on the carpet at the right height along its length.
Supports wear at the contact faces and eventually crack. When that happens the beater bar sits low at one end or floats loose, the roller stops making even contact with the pile, and you see a strip of carpet that stays flat and dirty while the rest of the pass looks clean.
This is the long support rather than the short one, so match the position before ordering. It fits the Eureka 35895 with the VGI 12-inch roller. With the roller apart, it is worth checking the bristles and end bearings at the same time.
