Two drive belts, part 66100, for Eureka and Sanitaire uprights. The belt carries motor power to the brush roll, and it is the cheapest part on the machine with the largest effect on how well it actually cleans carpet.
Belts stretch long before they break. A stretched belt lets the brush roll slow under load, so the machine sounds healthy and still leaves tracks in the pile; a burnt-rubber smell or a roller that has stopped turning altogether means it is already past that stage. Six months is a fair interval on a machine in daily use.
It covers the Sanitaire SC679, SC684, SC688, SC689, SC886, SC887, SC888, SC889, SC899, SC9050 and S600, and the Eureka 600, 1400, 1900, 2000, 2100, 4000, 5000 and 6400 series residential and commercial uprights.
