Product details
Part 1611501 is the filter for Bissell's 2030 series stick vacuums, covering the 20303, 20306, 20307, 20309, 2030H, 2030V, 2030X and 2030Z variants built on the same body.
A stick vacuum's filter sits close to the motor with very little room to spare, so it fills up fast relative to how often the machine actually runs. The pattern is usually a gradual fade rather than sudden failure. Pickup that used to clear a rug in one pass starts needing two, the exhaust carries a faint dusty note, and emptying the dirt cup stops bringing suction back the way it used to when the filter was clean.
Tapping the filter against the inside of a trash can knocks loose surface debris but does nothing for dust packed into the media itself, which is the part actually restricting airflow. Rinsing helps more than tapping on filters built to be washable, but only if the media is given time to dry completely before going back in, since damp media both chokes airflow and holds odor until it dries.
Check the filter every time the dirt cup is emptied rather than waiting for a noticeable drop in pickup, since a stick vacuum's small filter area means the interval between clean and clogged is shorter than owners coming from an upright or canister tend to expect.
