Riccar/Simplicity HEPA and Secondary Filter Set for 1500 Series Canisters

Part F983 pairs the HEPA element with its secondary foam filter for Riccar's 1500 series canisters and the related Simplicity models. The HEPA element does the fine filtration work and the secondary foam is the coarser stage that keeps the bulk of the dust off it, which is why the two are sold as a set rather than separately.

Both pieces load with use, and as they do the machine moves less air and suction fades even while the motor keeps running at its normal speed and volume. Once the HEPA element is saturated it stops working as designed, and the fine particles it is there to hold can pass through instead of staying trapped.
