Natural horse hair bristles, part R2540, cut as a 9-1/2 inch strip for the Rainbow floor brush. Horse hair is soft enough for finished hardwood and stone yet stiff enough to sweep grit out of tile grout, which is why Rainbow used it rather than nylon on the bare-floor tool.
Size matters here more than anything else: this strip will not fit the 11-inch wide floor tool. Measure the channel in your tool before ordering.
It is listed for the Rainbow D4, covering models 2889, 2894 and 2901, along with the D4C and D4C SE and the E series machines: E one-speed, E2 one-speed and E2 two-speed. Replace the strip once the bristles have splayed sideways or worn short, since a flattened brush stops holding fine dust and simply drags it across the floor.
