Beam Central Vacuum Flush M...

Product details

A Beam central vacuum inlet takes a beating over the life of the system: every hose connection and disconnection works the valve inside it, and eventually the mechanism wears enough to cause problems. This white flush mount inlet, part 015712, is the replacement for that wall connection point.

Flush mounting means the inlet sits level with the wall surface instead of standing proud of it, and white is the finish that matches the widest range of trim. When the valve inside wears out, the usual signs are a hose that will not lock in securely, a cover door that will not latch, or a noticeable drop in suction at that one location while every other inlet in the house still performs normally.

Because an inlet gets used every time the vacuum comes out, it is one of the harder-working small parts in the whole system. A door hinge that has gone loose or a valve spring that has lost its snap rarely announces itself all at once, so it is worth checking the inlet before assuming a suction complaint traces back to the power unit.

  • Part: 015712 flush mount inlet, white
  • Fits: Beam central vacuum systems
  • Function: wall-mounted hose connection point
  • Tip: a loose-fitting hose or a door that will not close flush usually means the inlet valve is worn, not the hose itself

It installs into the existing wall box in place of the worn inlet.
