Product details

This is the handle control lever for the Hoover U6007 upright, stocked as part 163347JM. It is the release you press to unlock the handle from its upright position so the machine will recline for vacuuming under furniture.

Because it takes direct pressure every single time the vacuum is used, it is one of the first plastic parts on the machine to give up. A cracked lever binds halfway, a broken one leaves the handle locked bolt upright, and the vacuum becomes useless for anything low even though the motor and brush are perfectly healthy.

Clear grit out of the pivot before fitting the new lever. Debris packed into the pivot is often what put the extra load on the old one in the first place.
