These are the handle fork decals for the Kirby Generation 5, part 174397A, supplied as a two-pack.
Decals in this position take a beating. The fork is where the machine gets gripped, knocked against furniture and dragged past door frames, and after years of that the printing scuffs, the edges curl and dirt works its way underneath. Peeling an old one off usually leaves an outline of dried adhesive behind, which looks worse than the tired decal did.
Because they come in pairs, both sides of the fork can be redone at once, which is worth doing: a fresh decal next to a faded one only draws attention to the faded one. Clean off every trace of old adhesive, make sure the surface is dry, and lay each decal down from one edge across rather than dropping it flat, so no air gets trapped.
