This replacement Kenmore height adjustment sliding knob sets and holds the cleaning height on numerous 116-series uprights, including 116.31100900 through 116.31100903, 116.31040900 through 116.31040907, and 116.30612000C, 116.30612001C, 116.30612002C, 116.30613000C, and 116.30613004C. Sliding the knob repositions the nozzle for different carpet piles and bare floors.
A cracked or worn knob can slip out of its setting or refuse to move, leaving the nozzle at the wrong height for the surface. That means weak pickup on thick carpet or scraping on hard floors. A new knob restores clean, repeatable height changes.
