Oreck Buster B HEPA Filter (BB1000 / CC1600)

Oreck's Buster B canister pulls its exhaust through part HF-1000, a HEPA filter fitting the BB1000 and BB1100 machines along with the CC1600 series. Because this canister is compact enough to run right next to a person, on a desk or inside a car, the quality of what leaves the exhaust counts for more than any spec sheet suggests.

HEPA media loads rather than wears. Air is pulled through progressively tighter fibers as dust accumulates, so suction fades gradually instead of failing outright, and the motor has to push against more resistance for every bit of airflow the longer a spent filter is left in place. A Buster B that sounds strained, or one that seems to leave fine dust behind instead of lifting it, has usually gone too long between filter changes.
