Hoover's Conquest commercial uprights roll on a front wheel that turns on a steel axle, and part 32543005 is that axle. It covers the C1800, C1800010, C1800020, C1805, C1810, C1810010, C1810020 and C1815.
Conquests are heavy machines that spend their lives on commercial carpet, and the front axle carries that weight through every turn. A bent axle makes the wheel lean and scuff. A worn one lets it wobble and wander so the machine will not track straight. A broken one drops the wheel and the nozzle grinds along the floor.
The job is straightforward once the front of the base is open. Inspect the wheel bore while the axle is out, because an axle this far gone usually means the wheel has been running out of true for a while and may be worn through as well. Confirm the C-series number on the data plate before ordering.
