Product details

Serving the left side of the nozzle, this bottom plate latch (part 35446005) fits Hoover Convertible uprights including models 1030, U7019, U7021, U7039, U7041, U7043.1, and U7077. It holds the bottom plate closed so the brush roll housing seals against the floor.

Once the left latch cracks or softens, the plate can drop open partway through a job and let air leak in around the nozzle. Suction falls off and the brush roll housing sits exposed. Installing the correct left-hand latch brings back a firm, even closure and steady airflow.

  • Fits: Hoover Convertible 1030, U7019, U7021, U7039, U7041, U7043.1, U7077
  • Function: latches the left side of the nozzle bottom plate
  • Benefit: keeps the nozzle sealed for full suction at the carpet
  • Tip: pair it with a fresh right-hand latch if that side is also worn

Fitting is a direct-fit replacement on the left side of the nozzle. Check your model number against the data plate before ordering so the latch lines up with its catch.
