This housing is the molded chamber surrounding the agitator brush roll; it captures the roll's end bearings, sets the brush height against the carpet, and routes loosened dirt into the WindTunnel airflow channels.

    A cracked or worn housing lets the brush roll wobble, throws off the height adjustment, and can let the drive belt slip, all of which sap pickup on carpet.
