Anchoring the power cord on the Hoover 7069 and 7071 Conquest, this genuine OEM cord retainer (Part #36172015) holds the cord to the housing where it enters the machine. It keeps the cord fixed at its anchor point.

A worn or broken retainer lets the cord flex freely at the entry point, and repeated strain there can fray the jacket and expose wiring. Installing the correct retainer restores strain relief and keeps the cord safely secured.
