Product details

A plastic replacement for the curved end fitting of a Hoover hose, part 42-1300-01, listed for the Hoover U4387. This is the moulded elbow at the end of the hose, the piece you hold or that seats into the machine. It is not the hose itself.

It is the part that fails first on almost any hose, because it takes the leverage every time the hose is dragged around a corner or dropped on a hard floor. The plastic cracks around the neck, and from then on there is an air leak right at the fitting: attachments feel weak no matter how strong the vacuum is, and there is often a whistle at the joint to go with it.

Replacing the end is the cheap repair. A hose with a sound body and a broken cuff does not need to be thrown away.
