Product details

The diffuser exhaust door for the Hoover model 1015, part 162059. It closes over the exhaust outlet and spreads the air leaving the machine, so the exhaust comes out as a broad, soft flow rather than a jet aimed at the floor.

That matters more than it sounds. A cracked, warped or missing door lets filtered air blow out in a hard stream that kicks settled dust straight back up off the carpet — you clean one strip and dirty the next. A door with a broken tab also buzzes against the housing at running speed.

This replacement fits the Hoover 1015 and drops into the original opening. With the door off, check the exhaust filter behind it: a loaded filter and a broken door often turn up together, since the pressure behind a clogged filter is what stresses the door in the first place.
