Hoover's handle electrical kit, part 410023001, for the FH40005 and FH40010 series floor cleaners including the FH40010B, FH40010TV, FH40010TVC and FH40030. It supplies the wiring run and switch connections that travel up through the handle.
This is the assembly behind an intermittent machine. Wiring inside a handle is flexed every time the cleaner is reclined and stood back up, and after a few years the conductors fatigue where they turn. The machine cuts out mid-pass, comes back when you move the handle, or stops responding to the controls altogether. Wiggling the handle to make it run is the diagnosis.
Unplug the machine before opening the handle, and route the new loom exactly the way the old one sat so that nothing is pinched when the halves close back together.
