Part 562535001 is the geared brush roll belt for Hoover WindTunnel Air uprights. Geared belts have teeth that mesh with the pulley rather than gripping by friction, so the roller turns at a fixed speed under load. It also means only the right tooth pitch will fit. This one carries 3M-201-6.5 marked on the belt.
A geared belt strips its teeth rather than slipping. The roller stops turning while the motor runs on unchanged, carpet stops being cleaned while hard floors still seem fine, and there is usually a scatter of black rubber debris around the pulley when you open the base.
It fits the Hoover UH70400, UH70401, UH70402, UH70403PC, UH70404 and UH70405 WindTunnel Air, the UH72400 series, and the Shark Navigator NV355, NV356 and NV357.
