The handle retainer plate is what anchors the handle assembly to the body of a Hoover commercial upright. Part 35463011 is the plate for the 7077 and for the wide family of commercial machines built on the same handle joint.

Commercial uprights get pushed and dragged hard for hours at a stretch, and this joint takes all of it. A worn retainer plate lets the handle rock, which is tiring to work against over a shift and steadily wears the pivot hardware around it. Once the looseness starts it gets worse quickly.

It covers the Hoover C1065, C1069, C1085, C1091, C1111 and C1123, the C1401, C1405, C1407, C1425, C1429, C1431, C1431010, C1433, C1433010 and C1439, the C1515, C1525 and C1529, the C1631 and C1632, the CH50000, the U7063 and U7079, and the Royal CR50075.
