This genuine OEM Hoover latch lock (part 36151021) is the left-hand latch for the F5867 SteamVac, model F5837900. It clamps the left side of the recovery tank or housing shut, keeping that side sealed while the machine runs and while you move it.

When the latch weakens or breaks, its side can pop open during a cleaning cycle, letting recovered water spill and interrupting the job. Manufactured to the original factory specification, this replacement restores a firm closure so the tank stays locked and leak-free on the left side.
