Latch with hinge bracket for the Hoover CH93619 backpack vacuum, part 440013710. The latch holds a housing panel closed and the bracket is the hinge it swings on, so the two work as a pair.

Backpacks get set down hard, leaned against walls and carried by whatever is closest to hand, and the latch is usually what takes it. A cracked latch or a bent bracket lets the panel sit slightly proud, and from there it works looser during use. Dust escapes at the gap, and the panel can swing open when the machine is lifted.

A new latch and bracket restore a firm, aligned closure, and a panel that pulls down tight also stops the rattle a loose one makes against the housing all shift. Check the mating clips for wear while fitting it.
