This flat belt is stocked as the replacement for Hoover's Style 011 belt and is sized for the Quadraflex power nozzle head, part FB011.
Inside the nozzle it loops from the drive shaft to the brushroll pulley, and its tension is what keeps the brush turning fast enough to lift embedded dirt and hair free of the carpet pile. Once a flat belt stretches or cracks the roll slows down or stops even though the nozzle motor still runs, and that loss of agitation is the usual reason a Quadraflex head stops cleaning carpet the way it used to.
