Product details

Replacement valve for the Hoover U6330 upright, part 38718013. It controls airflow inside the machine, opening and closing the path suction takes as the vacuum is switched between its cleaning modes.

Valves fail by sticking rather than breaking. The flap picks up a film of fine dust, or its seat distorts, and it stops closing fully, so the machine pulls air from the wrong place. The symptom depends on which way it sticks: either the hose has no draw while the floor nozzle works normally, or the nozzle is weak while the hose is strong. A rattle or a whistle from inside the body often comes with it.

The replacement is dimensionally matched to the original and drops into the same position. Check the model number on the data plate before ordering.
