Fifteen inches of brush roll for Hoover WindTunnel uprights, supplied complete as part H601 rather than as bare bristle strips.

The test is simple: lay a straightedge across the bristles. If they no longer stand proud of the roller, or they have bent back into a comb instead of standing up, the roller is skimming the carpet rather than beating it. That is the point at which a machine starts leaving a haze of pet hair behind on a pass that used to come up clean. Hair wrapped at the ends does its own damage, adding drag that the belt pays for.

Hoover used this roller across more than forty WindTunnel models, among them the C1701900, C1703900 and C1705900, the U5014900, U5170900, U5451900, U5468900, U5720900 and U5750900. Check the model number on the plate before ordering, and fit a new belt at the same time.
