The hose assembly for the Fuller Brush Micro hand vacuum, part HV-HOSE. On a machine this size the hose is what turns a handheld into something with reach: you leave the body on the car seat or the step and take the end of the hose to where the mess actually is.
Small hoses live a hard life. They are stretched to their limit nearly every time they are used, and they fail at the cuffs first, where the flexible tubing meets the rigid end. A cracked cuff is hard to see and easy to feel — the machine sounds exactly as it always did but picks up almost nothing at the far end, because it is drawing its air through the split rather than through the nozzle.
Check for a blockage before you order. A tissue or a screw lodged in the bend produces identical symptoms and costs nothing to clear.
