Johnny Vac On/Off Power Swi...

Product details

This is a replacement on/off power switch for the Johnny Vac Bee and Opossum canister vacuums, listed under part SWT700. The switch carries power to the suction motor, and it is the component you press each time you start or stop the machine.

Like any mechanical switch, the internal contacts and toggle spring wear with repeated use. A vacuum that will not power on, cuts out while running, or needs the button pressed several times before it responds is showing the typical signs of a tired switch rather than a motor problem.

  • Part: SWT700
  • Fits: Johnny Vac Bee, Johnny Vac Opossum
  • Function: Main on/off power switch for the canister motor

Unplug the canister before opening the switch housing, and move each wire to the new switch one terminal at a time. Johnny Vac catalogues its canister switches one machine at a time rather than sharing a single switch across the range, so check the switch already fitted to your machine against SWT700 before ordering rather than going by the brand name.
