This wand-end hose cuff (Part #JV2511390) is the genuine replacement fitting for the Johnny Vac JV400. Unlike the machine-end cuff that plugs into the vacuum body, the wand-end cuff is the connector at the opposite end of the hose — the one that accepts the wand, floor tools, and other cleaning attachments.
A worn wand-end cuff causes wands to fall off mid-clean, wobble, or leak air at the joint, all of which reduce suction at the tool. This replacement cuff is sized to grip the JV400 wand securely and seal the connection so full airflow reaches whatever attachment you're using.
