The switch toggles power to the nozzle's brush motor, letting you turn the agitator on for carpet cleaning and off for bare floors and delicate surfaces.

    Over time these switches can stick, lose continuity, or stop clicking cleanly, leaving the brushroll stuck on or refusing to start. Installing a new switch (Part #SWPN33) restores positive, reliable control of the power nozzle.
