Product details

The Kenmore 2-prong connection pipe assembly, part KC92PEEYZV06, is the fitting that joins the hose to the canister body on Kenmore 81214 and BC4002 canister vacuums. It seals the airflow path at that joint and carries the two electrical prongs that power the nozzle.

A hiss of escaping air right at this joint, a hose that wobbles loosely in its socket, or a power nozzle that cuts out when the hose is twisted at a certain angle all point to wear at this fitting rather than at the hose or the nozzle. Because the same joint carries both suction and electricity, a worn assembly can produce either symptom on its own, or both together once the fit loosens enough.

  • Part: KC92PEEYZV06, 2-prong connection pipe assembly
  • Fits: Kenmore 81214, BC4002
  • Function: seals the hose-to-canister airflow joint and carries power to the nozzle
  • Before you order: confirm your canister uses the 2-prong connector style, since connector styles are not interchangeable

Seat the new fitting fully and check that the hose locks in place before you run the vacuum, since a fitting that is only partly home reproduces the same symptoms as a worn one. If suction and nozzle power both come back the moment the hose is pushed all the way in, the fit was the problem rather than the part.
