The lead wire assembly (Part #8175253) is a genuine OEM replacement cord for Kenmore 800 series and BC4002 power nozzles. It carries power from the canister through the wand to the power nozzle motor that drives the brush roll.
If the brush roll on your BC4002 has stopped spinning while the vacuum motor still runs, a broken internal wire is a common cause. Repeated flexing or pinching fractures the strands and cuts power to the nozzle. A fresh lead wire restores power to the brush roll.
