This genuine OEM Kenmore brush roll assembly (part 21814) restores deep-cleaning agitation on the Kenmore 21814. The rotating brush sweeps carpet fibers to lift embedded dirt and pet hair into the airflow as you pass over each row.
When the bristles wear down, fray, or the brush stops turning, carpet pickup drops off noticeably. Check the roll regularly for worn bristles and wrapped hair, and clear tangled fibers monthly to extend its life. Once the bristles no longer reach the carpet, a replacement brings the agitation back.
