The brush that slips into the tip of a Kirby crevice tool is a wear item, and this pack replaces it five times over. Part 226157S (also listed as K-226157) is the genuine Kirby crevice tool brush insert, sold here as a five-pack so there are spares on the shelf for years of service.
The insert is what turns the crevice tool into a dusting tool: its bristle collar grips inside the nozzle end and gives gentle bristle action along blinds, vents, sills and upholstery seams. Bristles flatten and splay with use, and a worn insert stops gripping inside the tool and starts falling out — the usual reason anyone goes looking for this number.
