Each brush is a block of carbon that rides against the motor commutator, channeling electrical current into the armature to drive the suction fan and brush roll. Worn brushes are the most common cause of a Kirby that sparks, loses power, or refuses to start — and they're an easy, economical fix.

This brush fits a broad range of classic Kirby uprights, including the Kirby Classic and Heritage models, as well as the Heritage 65 (HVR 65) and the Dual Sanitronic / Dialamatic (HVR Dialamatic). Restoring fresh carbon contact keeps these heavy-duty motors running cool and strong.
