174006S is the screw that fastens each cord hook to a Kirby handle fork, sold five to a pack and built for the Sentria along with the Avalir 2 and Avalir Platinum uprights.
Winding and unwinding the cord puts a small pull on the hook with each use, and that repeated strain is what backs the screw out over time. First the hook develops play, then it starts to rattle, and eventually the screw head rounds off or the screw itself falls out and disappears, usually into the carpet. A screw whose threads have stripped inside the plastic boss will spin without ever tightening, and forcing it further only opens up the hole. At that point what fixes it is a new screw biting at a slightly different angle, not more force on the worn one.
Five per pack leaves spares in the toolbox, since this is exactly the kind of small fastener that vanishes partway through some unrelated repair.
Drive it with a Phillips screwdriver and stop as soon as it seats snugly, since the plastic boss it threads into will strip on its own if you push past that point. If a hook still wobbles once the screw is fully seated, the hook itself has worn out and is the part actually needing replacement. Keep the machine unplugged any time you are working around the handle fork, and compare the new screw against the old one before driving it, since a close-but-wrong fastener is the usual way a healthy screw boss gets stripped.
