Part 119096G is the fan assembly for Kirby's Generation 3 through Avalir 2 platform, supplied with its spacer and seal, and confirmed for the G4, Avalir and Avalir 2. Buying it as an assembly means the sealing parts that go around the fan are in the box rather than being reused.
A cracked fan is the usual reason for the job. Hard debris such as coins, screws or gravel chips a blade, and from then on the machine rattles, vibrates through the handle and pulls noticeably less than it did. The spacer and seal matter too: a flattened seal lets air bypass the fan and costs suction even with a perfect impeller.
The fan sits on the motor shaft, so this is an involved repair. Confirm your Kirby model before ordering.
