Product details
Kirby moved to this four-piece plastic fan on the 519 and the machines that followed it. Part 119078G is the OEM replacement, with confirmed fitment on the Classic I CR and the Sanitronic VII.
The fan is what actually creates suction, spinning in the fan case just behind the nozzle. Because it sits in the path of everything the vacuum picks up, hard debris is its enemy: a coin, a tack, a stone chip. The damage shows as a sudden drop in pull, a rattle or buzz under load, and vibration through the handle.
Running on a cracked fan risks the motor shaft, so it is not something to leave. Check the fan on the machine you are working on before ordering, as the earlier Kirby models take a different one.
