This aluminum belt lifter casting (Part #144069) is the core of the belt lifter mechanism on the Kirby Classic 1CR and Omega 1CB. Lifting the casting raises the drive belt off the brush roll so you can switch to bare-floor cleaning.
The belt lifter takes repeated stress every time you move between carpet and hard floors, and a worn or cracked casting can leave you unable to disengage the brush roll. This aluminum replacement holds up better than plastic alternatives and restores solid, reliable operation of the lifter. Full belt lifter function returns once it is in place.
