This is the machine-end coupling for the Kirby hose, part 210003, the fitting that locks the hose onto the vacuum itself when you convert the machine for above-floor cleaning.

It is a part that fails quietly. The coupling takes a twist every time the hose goes on or comes off, and once the plastic cracks or the locking detail wears round, the hose no longer seats tightly. What you notice is not a broken part but weak suction at the far end of the hose, or a hose that pops off mid-job, because air is leaking straight in at the joint instead of being pulled through the attachment.

It fits the Kirby Ultimate G and the Diamond Edition. If the hose cuff itself is cracked as well, replace both rather than chasing the same leak twice.
