This is the Avalir version of Kirby's neutral/drive pedal assembly, part 558414S, in black with a red pedal. Colour matters here, because the Generation-series equivalent is a different part number; match what is already on your machine rather than ordering by model alone.
The pedal selects between neutral and Tech-Drive. A cracked pivot, a broken return or a pedal gone soft underfoot leaves the machine either creeping forward when you want it parked or refusing to propel at all, and both of those read as a transmission fault until you actually look at the pedal.
It is listed for the Avalir and Avalir 2, and also for the Sentria, Diamond G7, Ultimate G7 and Generation 3 through Generation 6 machines.
